As I enter my seventh year teaching with Delburne Centralized School I am delighted to be teaching the high school English and Art programs. As a firm believer in connection, I look forward to the opportunity to build relationships with my students through our work together in the classroom. I am hopeful this year for the chance to have meaningful discussions, projects and student innovation in the classroom. I have spent time accessing new material, experimenting with artistic techniques and reading a variety of texts to offer my students an engaging learning environment. Our focus for the year will be positive integration with the classroom, focusing on trusting relationships that allow for lifelong learning. As I have heard it said, we want to be creators of culture, rather than consumers.
